RISE FOR PHOKA est une organisation de développement dirigée par des jeunes et des communautés au Malawi qui se concentre sur la lutte contre le changement climatique et les questions de développement durable et qui s'engage à prendre soin des membres les plus vulnérables de leurs communautés, tels que les enfants et les personnes âgées. Kondwani Msyalie est le fondateur et le directeur exécutif de RISE FOR PHOKA, une fondation communautaire de Livingstonia, au Malawi, qui se consacre au développement durable des communautés. Il est titulaire d'une licence en gestion de l'environnement et d'un certificat universitaire d'éducation de l'université de Livingstonia. Passionné par l'autonomisation des communautés, Kondwani dirige des projets axés sur l'agriculture durable, l'éducation et le soutien social aux groupes vulnérables. Grâce à son leadership, RISE FOR PHOKA a mobilisé les ressources locales et favorisé les partenariats pour susciter des changements positifs.
Frank Charles Kasonga est le directeur exécutif de Mudzi Connect, où il supervise les efforts de développement communautaire d'une ONG locale qui a amélioré la santé, l'éducation, les opportunités économiques et la justice sociale pour plus de 600 000 Malawiens à ce jour. Frank est un auteur publié qui possède plus de 20 ans d'expérience pratique dans la conception de projets et l'élaboration de propositions, le développement organisationnel, le renforcement des capacités et la formation, l'administration des subventions, la gouvernance, la justice environnementale, la gestion du personnel, le suivi financier, le contrôle et l'évaluation. Frank est titulaire d'une maîtrise en développement communautaire transformatif de l'université de Mzuzu, d'une licence en sciences sociales et d'un certificat en droit de l'Institut de développement du personnel. Frank est un leader par nature, un joueur d'équipe, un développeur de capacités, un excellent écrivain et un formateur charismatique. Frank est largement considéré comme un leader dans la promotion d'un développement mené localement et il intervient fréquemment comme conférencier et panéliste sur le sujet.
Bhavna Naik est une gestionnaire financière qualifiée du Royaume-Uni. Elle travaille dans le secteur caritatif et est née en Zambie, où ses parents ont émigré de l'Inde. En 2022, elle a été détachée au Malawi pendant trois ans en tant que responsable des finances d'une entreprise sociale.
Ayant été témoin d'une culture de dépendance malsaine au Malawi, elle a collaboré avec une organisation caritative malawite - Rise for Phoka - pour faire progresser l'idée de communautés durables en achetant des terres agricoles dans le but de cultiver et de vendre les produits afin de générer des revenus pour atteindre les objectifs caritatifs de l'organisation.
Elle est une perturbatrice passionnée, croit qu'il faut donner avec grâce et dignité, et embrasse les valeurs populaires et la nature.
