The good news? Change is possible through targeted, community-driven action. One proven approach is partnering with schools to launch Digital Hubs which is exactly our goal at Sarati Digital Initiative.

Here’s what that looks like on the ground:
• Equipping empty labs: Many schools already have the physical space, just no tools. We provide reliable computers, projectors, routers and high-speed or offline capable learning resources.
• Structured curriculum and mentorship: It’s not enough to drop devices. We first train the existing teachers then co-develop a practical, localized digital literacy curriculum. Trained mentors deliver hands-on sessions covering basics to advanced topics.
• Sustained support: Regular monitoring, teacher capacity building, student clubs and integration across subjects ensure the hubs become living parts of school life.
• Community involvement: Engage parents, local leaders, and alumni so the hubs serve broader community needs (evening classes, adult literacy, etc.).
This model turns passive schools into active innovation centers. Students gain confidence, teachers become facilitators of 21st-century learning, and the whole ecosystem lifts.
