RISE FOR PHOKA es una organización de desarrollo de Malawi impulsada por voluntarios, dirigida por jóvenes y por la comunidad, que se centra en abordar cuestiones relacionadas con el cambio climático y el desarrollo sostenible y se compromete a cuidar de los miembros más vulnerables de sus comunidades, como los niños y los ancianos. Kondwani Msyalie es el fundador y director ejecutivo de RISE FOR PHOKA, una fundación comunitaria de base de Livingstonia (Malawi) dedicada al desarrollo sostenible de la comunidad. Es licenciado en Gestión Medioambiental y posee un Certificado Universitario de Educación por la Universidad de Livingstonia. Apasionado del empoderamiento comunitario, Kondwani dirige proyectos centrados en la agricultura sostenible, la educación y el apoyo social a grupos vulnerables. Gracias a su liderazgo, RISE FOR PHOKA ha movilizado recursos locales y fomentado asociaciones para impulsar cambios positivos.
Frank Charles Kasonga es el Director Ejecutivo de Mudzi Connect, donde supervisa los esfuerzos de desarrollo comunitario de una ONG local que ha mejorado la salud, la educación, las oportunidades económicas y la justicia social de más de 600.000 malauíes hasta la fecha. Frank es un autor publicado con más de 20 años de experiencia práctica en diseño de proyectos y elaboración de propuestas, desarrollo organizativo, capacitación y formación, administración de subvenciones, gobernanza, justicia medioambiental, gestión de personas, seguimiento financiero y supervisión y evaluación. Frank posee un máster en Desarrollo Comunitario Transformador por la Universidad de Mzuzu, una licenciatura en Ciencias Sociales y un certificado en Derecho por el Staff Development Institute. Frank es líder por naturaleza, trabaja en equipo, desarrolla capacidades, es un excelente escritor y un formador carismático. Frank es considerado un líder en la promoción del desarrollo local y un orador y ponente habitual sobre el tema.
Bhavna Naik es una gestora financiera británica cualificada. Trabaja en el sector benéfico y nació en Zambia, adonde sus padres emigraron inicialmente desde la India. En 2022 fue destinada a Malawi durante tres años como responsable de finanzas de una empresa social.
Habiendo sido testigo de una cultura de dependencia malsana en Malawi, colaboró con una organización benéfica fundada en Malawi, Rise for Phoka, para avanzar en la idea de comunidades sostenibles mediante la compra de tierras de cultivo con el objetivo de cultivar y vender los productos para generar ingresos con los que cumplir los objetivos benéficos de la organización.
Es una disruptora apasionada, cree en dar con gracia y dignidad, y abraza los valores de base y la naturaleza.
