En este webinario, tres jóvenes activistas debatirán las estrategias y respuestas de las organizaciones lideradas por juventudes ante las crisis actuales del sistema de “ayuda” internacional, enfocándose en sus fortalezas, lecciones aprendidas y perspectivas sobre el futuro de la cooperación. Compartirán aprendizajes recientes en su trabajo por los derechos de las juventudes; mensajes clave y recomendaciones para los donantes; y consejos para otras organizaciones juveniles que están enfrentando estas crisis.
Este webinario está dirigido a una audiencia general del sector de la “ayuda” internacional interesada en los derechos de la niñez y en organizaciones lideradas por jóvenes, incluidos donantes, investigadores, profesionales, estudiantes de posgrado, ONG comunitarias y nacionales, organizaciones internacionales, y más.
Basándose en sus experiencias, tres jóvenes lideresas hablarán sobre:
Estrategias de adaptación de organizaciones lideradas por juventudes frente a los recortes de financiamiento;
El uso del emprendimiento como herramienta para sostener iniciativas juveniles y empoderar a las comunidades ante la falta de fondos;
El auge de narrativas antimigrantes y antirrefugiadxs, y los efectos del desplazamiento sobre las organizaciones juveniles que trabajan con comunidades migrantes, refugiadas y de acogida;
Recomendaciones para donantes y financiadores internacionales sobre cómo apoyar mejor a las organizaciones lideradas por juventudes;
Sugerencias sobre cómo lograr una mejor inclusión de las organizaciones lideradas por juventudes en los procesos de toma de decisiones.

Presentadoras
Krista Rivas Gutierrez - Red de Estudiantes Refugiados Latinoamericanos (TRSN)
Krista es estudiante de arquitectura y relaciones internacionales, becaria DAFI y líder global de la Red de Estudiantes Refugiados en Educación Terciaria (TRSN), desde donde impulsa el fortalecimiento del liderazgo juvenil y aboga por políticas que generen oportunidades para estudiantes desplazados. Su trabajo se centra en amplificar las voces de las juventudes desplazadas y asegurar que sus historias, desafíos y aportes sean reconocidos en los espacios de toma de decisiones a nivel global. Con una sólida trayectoria en iniciativas lideradas por jóvenes, Krista ha promovido activamente el acceso a la educación superior, el empoderamiento económico y la participación significativa de personas jóvenes refugiadas y desplazadas. Ha representado a la juventud en foros internacionales de alto nivel. A través de la incidencia política, la oratoria y el trabajo con medios de comunicación, Krista contribuye a transformar la narrativa en torno a las juventudes desplazadas, no como víctimas, sino como agentes de cambio que lideran soluciones en sus comunidades.
Wardah Noor - Fundadora y directora, xWave Pakistan
Wardah es una emprendedora social y fundadora de xWave Pakistan, una iniciativa que utiliza la tecnología para empoderar a comunidades marginadas. Su trabajo se centra en formar a jóvenes de sectores desfavorecidos—especialmente mujeres en zonas rurales—en habilidades informáticas y competencias blandas. Bajo su liderazgo, xWave se ha expandido a múltiples regiones, capacitando a más de 300 estudiantes en habilidades técnicas y a miles más en habilidades esenciales para el trabajo. Ha sido reconocida con el Premio a la Excelencia Juvenil del Primer Ministro y por organizaciones internacionales como Giving Tuesday y el Global Fund for Children. Wardah busca capacitar y emplear a 10,000 estudiantes, generando un impacto económico significativo en la economía digital de Pakistán.
Kimberly Barrios - vicepresidenta, Jóvenes Artistas por la Justicia Social (JAJS), Guatemala
Kimberly es internacionalista, joven líder y gestora de proyectos, con más de cinco años de experiencia en voluntariado e incidencia política en espacios de participación ciudadana. Es vicepresidenta y cofundadora de Jóvenes Artistas por la Justicia Social (JAxJS), una organización juvenil, e integra el Grupo Asesor de Juventudes del UNFPA. Además, participa como Young Peacebuilder en la Alianza de Civilizaciones de las Naciones Unidas (UNAOC). Su trabajo se centra en el empoderamiento juvenil, la formación de liderazgos y la creación de redes, así como en el establecimiento de alianzas estratégicas orientadas a la justicia social y el desarrollo sostenible.
