Funding on our terms: Rethinking donor-recipient relationships for sustainable impact

The shift towards locally led development requires a fundamental rethink of traditional donor-recipient relationships. Despite global conversations around #ShiftThePower, many local organizations still operate under restrictive funding models that limit their ability to lead sustainable, community-driven change.

The Zambian Governance Foundation (ZGF) has been at the forefront of advocating for community-led development (CLD) and alternative financing models that prioritize sustainability and self-reliance.

Join ZGF’s CEO, Engwase Banda Mwale and Racheal Mwila: Manager - CLD/CSO Support Manager for this webinar, as they challenge existing paradigms and explore how communities, civil society organizations (CSOs), and donors can work together to create funding mechanisms that empower local actors, rather than perpetuate dependency.

Live translation in Spanish and French will be available.
