Pioneering a New Era of Accountability in Africa

Every organisation dreams of growth but thriving sustainably takes more than ambition. It takes systems, accountability, and innovation that truly understand local realities. That’s what KujaBuild, Kuja’s flagship product, was designed to achieve.

And leading the way in testing this transformative tool is ACLAIM Africa Limited, a Ugandan management consultancy helping organisations across the continent build the structures they need to succeed.

Who Is ACLAIM Africa?

For three decades, ACLAIM Africa has stood at the heart of organisational transformation in Uganda and beyond. Through consulting, training, and outsourcing in finance, human resources, procurement, and organisational effectiveness, ACLAIM helps institutions move from surviving to thriving.

As Caroline Akello, Capability Leader for Finance at ACLAIM, explains:

“We’ve seen many organisations with great ideas and funding, but limited capacity to manage resources effectively. That’s where ACLAIM comes in, to help bridge that gap.”

ACLAIM works across the NGO, corporate, education, and health sectors, strengthening governance, enhancing accountability, and improving systems that keep organisations stable and impactful.

The ACLAIM Africa Team

Why ACLAIM Said Yes to KujaBuild

ACLAIM first discovered KujaBuild through a partner organisation and immediately saw its potential. Having supported NGOs as both a fiduciary agent and capacity-building partner, ACLAIM understood the recurring pain points, disconnected systems, poor grant tracking, and limited transparency.

“KujaBuild had a solution we had dreamt of. One platform that integrates grant management, procurement, accounting, and project tracking,” says Caroline.

“Most software serve for-profit organisations, but KujaBuild was built with non-profits in mind.”

Testing KujaBuild: A Hands-On Experience

As one of the first organisations to test KujaBuild, ACLAIM describes the experience as both comprehensive and intuitive. From accounting and budgeting to procurement and payroll, every module communicates seamlessly with the others.

“The system even prompts you when a budget line is fully used. Something we hadn’t seen before,” Caroline shares.

“It’s eye-opening and makes accountability so much easier.”

The testing phase reaffirmed ACLAIM’s belief that digital tools, when designed for context, can transform how locally led organisations manage and report on funds.

Building the Future Together

For ACLAIM, KujaBuild isn’t just a software, it’s a partner in transformation.

“KujaBuild is going to solve major challenges for NGOs,” Caroline notes. “It brings together finance, HR, and procurement teams into one integrated space and simplifies collaboration.”

Looking ahead, ACLAIM plans to continue working closely with Kuja’s developers, offering feedback from the field to ensure KujaBuild remains relevant, adaptable, and built for African realities.

A Message to Local Organisations

Caroline’s advice for other NGOs and CSOs is clear:

“Run and get the KujaBuild solution. It’s user-friendly, comprehensive, and built for both NGOs and CSOs. It will make your work easier and more accountable.”
