This work documents how hazardous waste from oil operations in Turkana has polluted water sources, devastated pastoralist livelihoods, and disproportionately harmed women and livestock, while exposing gaps in corporate liability, government accountability, and evidence preservation, and ultimately calls for urgent justice pathways, accredited testing, and inclusive decision‑making to safeguard Indigenous dignity, resilience, and sovereignty.
